The vision: closing the Gap

The railroad industry and rail preservation are facing a recruitment crisis. While the mid-20th century enthusiasm for rail has waned, Next Generation Railroaders (NGR) is reigniting that passion. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit led by industry professionals who understand both the heritage of the tracks and the mindset of our generation. Through our efforts, we will ensure railroading remains a sustainable, inclusive, and rewarding career and hobby for decades to come.
